I bought one of these exact units in the 1980s when I was a certified fitness trainer and I was doing biathlon’s triathlons running races, etc. Aaside from keeping myself in good condition I also helped other athletes and the general population as far as body fat assessments. I then moved on, but I kept my Skyndex skin cold caliper and still use it. When I was in my best form doing lots of races my body fat was down between 12 to 14%. I’m 30 years older now and I’m not doing any races anymore but try to keep my body fat between 15 to 16%. I’ve used this thing probably over a thousand times in the last 35 years and it still works as new. The only negative is that the plastic on the front of the unit has turned yellow while the plastic on the back of the unit is still the original light cream color. Not sure why the front of the unit yellowed so much but some plastic yellows as it ages. Other than that, no complaints, great unit highly recommended.
